More Young Guns @ Apple Store Bondi

I hadn’t heard of any more Young Guns talks happening at the Apple Store, until I happened upon the AGDA site today and discovered there’s two new talks happening at the Bondi Apple Store;

Begin Reminiscing Chin Rub…

A few years ago, Ivana Martinovic (aka the wife) and myself (aka the cranky annoying one) both won recognition from the ADC’s Young Guns program - an award that recognises up and coming designers under 30 years old, based on their portfolio of work. It was a great adventure, travelling to NYC to pick up our awards, meet the NYC design establishment and generally have ourselves a fun time.

As part of our ‘reign’ as current Young Guns in 2010, we were invited by ADC and Apple to present a talk and our work at the Apple Store on George Street, Sydney. It was a real treat and honour, and, despite the nerves and fear of speaking to an empty house, both events were massive. So much so Apple chased us for nearly a year to help organise more talks.  

Sadly, the details couldn’t work out for the partnership, so we passed on the opportunity to Australian Infront, which became the very successful ‘Infront Presents’ series.
